Why is it historically significant that Buffalo smells like Cheerios?

From Great Lakes proximity, location on the Erie Canal, early availability of electricity, innovation in construction with steel, and its influx of immigrants. Buffalo was perfectly suited to become hub of grain traffic. At its heights, Buffalo was not only the greatest grain market in North America, but it surpassed London , Odessa, and Rotterdam to become the largest grain port in the world.

Join Mike Casella, a volunteer and board member at The Buffalo Harbor Museum, for a talk about Buffalo's golden age of grain and flour. Learn more about these remarkable chapters in Buffalo's history, see artifacts and historical photographs, and discover how The Buffalo Museum is working to help preserve this slice of Buffalo history.

To reserve a seat, please call the bakery at 716-364-6362 or reply to this email with your name and we will follow up.
